Lost, Stolen, or Compromised Debit Cards


Monitor your account activity closely in your Online & Mobile Banking* account history. Be sure to report anything suspicious right away. 

  • You can turn off your card using Card Alerts & Controls** if you misplaced your card or if you need more time to research a suspicious transaction on your own. Turn your card back on if you confirmed the transaction to be authorized by you or a joint accountholder.
  • Contact us at 888-584-3600 right away if you’re unsure if the transaction(s) are legitimate. 
  • You can dispute fraudulent transactions that have posted to your account in your Online & Mobile Banking account. Select the Services tab in the Republic Bank Mobile app* or More Services in online banking, then select the “Self-Service Center” to begin your dispute.


Lost, Stolen, or Compromised Republic Bank Credit Cards


Please call 1-866-292-0856 if you detect unauthorized credit card activity, or if your card is missing or stolen.

  • If you’ve only misplaced your credit card, you can turn off your credit card using Card Alerts & Controls while you look for it and turn it back on when you find it.
  • If you have confirmed fraudulent credit card transactions, you can file a dispute online or contact 1-866-292-0856.

Lost Check/Checkbook, Compromised Account Number, or Fraudulent Transactions Using Your Account & Routing Number


Monitor your account activity closely in your Online & Mobile Banking* account history. Be sure to report anything suspicious right away by contacting us at 888-584-3600. 

  • If you have lost a check, your account number is stolen or compromised, or you have confirmed fraudulent transactions on your account you will likely need a new account number to prevent further unauthorized activity. We can help you determine if you need a new account number when you contact us about your situation. 
  • You can dispute fraudulent transactions that have posted to your account in your Online & Mobile Banking account. Select the Services tab in the Republic Bank Mobile app* or More Services in online banking, then select the “Self-Service Center” to begin your dispute.

 

Zelle, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, or External Transfers Fraudulent Activity


If you suspect suspicious activity in your account, including Online & Mobile Banking profile changes, contact us directly at 888-782-3333. 

  • If you have recently shared your Online & Mobile Banking username and password or one-time passcode with any person for any reason, contact us immediately so that we can secure your account. You can begin reviewing your account using these 4 steps to help you secure your account.
  • If your security options in your Online & Mobile Banking profile was updated, you will receive an email. If the phone number or email address is not familiar to you, contact us right away.
  • If you notice unusual Zelle or Bill Pay activity, such as a new contact or business unfamiliar to you, or money is sent without your authorization, it’s important to contact us right away.
  • If you have shared your External Transfers PIN or your External Transfers account verification dollar amounts to any person for any reason, notice an unfamiliar account, or unauthorized transfers in the External Transfers service, please contact us immediately.
  • You can dispute fraudulent transactions that have posted to your account in your Online & Mobile Banking account. Select the Services tab in the Republic Bank Mobile app* or More Services in online banking, then select the “Self-Service Center” to begin your dispute.

If you are concerned you have experienced identity theft, please call 888-584-3600 immediately. Please be prepared to answer the following questions in as much detail as possible so that we may assist you with your next steps:

  1. Why do you believe you have identity theft?
  2. How was your identity stolen?
  3. What accounts were affected?

  • If you shared your personal account information, such as your Online & Mobile Banking username and password or one-time passcode, call 888-782-3333 right away. If you did not respond, please follow these instructions to report suspicious email and text message activity.

Turning off your card in Card Alerts & Controls only prevents the card from being used as long as it is turned off.
