A dormant account is a Republic Bank deposit account that has not been used for at least 18 months. This means that an accountholder has not processed transactions through the account during that period.
For your protection, Republic Bank will place a dormant status on a deposit account which prevents any transactions from being processed until you contact us to reactivate the dormant account.
