Before creating transfers using the External Features, you will first need to add an account in External Transfers in your Personal Online & Mobile Banking account. You can add an account in desktop online banking or Republic Bank app experience.

   

You must be the owner of the account you would like to add in External Transfers. To add your account successfully, please have your external account routing and account number handy.

 

You will also need your username and password to your external bank account when using the method: Instant Verify to successfully verify and add your account to make transfers.  




ADDING AN EXTERNAL ACCOUNT 


  1. 1. To add an account in External Transfers in the app experience, log into the Republic Bank Mobile Banking app and tap Move Money on the bottom menu, then tap External Transfers.

  1. To get started in External Transfers feature, select the waffle “Menu” in the top right corner of the feature, then select Accounts.

  1. 2. Tap My Other Accounts on the Accounts tab, then select + Add Accounts.  

  1. Select your account type in the Account-Type drop-down menu. 

 

You may add a checking, savings, money market checking, money market savings, or a brokerage account type. The account type must be able to accept debits and credits.

 

 

Nickname your external account if you wish to do so and swipe up to scroll down the Add External Accounts page.

  

  1. Have your account and routing number handy. 


3. Enter your external account routing and account number. You will need to re-enter your account number a second time to verify it is correct. 


If your account and routing number are correct, External Transfers will detect your external account financial institution.

  

Tap Next. 



  1. 4.To successfully add your account, you will need to verify that you own the account and accepts credits and debits successfully.

Some financial institutions allow you to verify instantly by logging into your external bank account from the External Transfers feature.  


Tap “Verify Instantly” to enter your external bank account username and password.


Enter your user ID and Password from your external bank account and select "Verify."


  

If your external account displays an error message, you may need to use the bank deposit method of verification. All financial institutions have the option to verify your account with small bank deposits to your external bank account in 1-3 business days. 


5. Enter the SMS text* verification code from your Messages notification and tap "Submit". 



6. If your verification code is correct, your external account is verified and ready to initiate transfers. Select "Done" to return to the External Transfers main page to begin a transfer.
